BAFTA winning adventurer Steve Backshall will be touring theatres throughout the UK in May, June and July 2012 with A WILD LIFE. This illustrated talk will give Steve’s fans a first-hand opportunity to hear about his worldwide expeditions, his encounters with wild wonders and the mysteries of the natural world.   The event will feature film clips of the animals that have inspired him and there will be an opportunity for audience Q & A’s.

This tour also marks the publication of TIGER WARS (Published 24 May 2012, Orion Children’s Books), his debut novel in which he introduces Saker and Sinter on a quest to right some of the horrific wrongs perpetrated against wildlife around the planet as they come face to face with the world’s most fascinating, majestic and lethal creatures.
Steve is an author, expedition leader, naturalist, wildlife expert – and the fearless presenter of the Children’s BBC series Deadly 60, Live and Deadly, Deadly 360 and Deadly Art. Steve travels the world to learn about the most inspiring predators, from boxing mantis shrimp to charging tigers.
