The Falcon’s Malteser
Queen’s Hall Theatre, Cranbrook
Friday October 9
Anthony Horowitz is well-known for his spy novels, among them the Alex Rider series, several Sherlock Holmes novels, and the most recent addition to the James Bond collection, Trigger Mortis. But it’s one of his earliest works, The Falcon’s Malteser, that has been successfully adapted for stage by Old New Friends, who are embarking on their second national tour with the play. A pastiche of detective novels, it chronicles Tim Diamond, a hapless private detective, and his long-suffering brother Nick as they investigate a suspicious package entrusted to them by a South American man.
