On Monday 5 May 2014 the Friends of Grosvenor and Hilbert Park will hold the third annual Family Fun Day. This year’s event is extra special, as they are celebrating the 125th Anniversary of the opening of the Park – Tunbridge Wells’s first Municipal Park. They’re expecting between 3,000 – 5,000 people to enjoy this free community celebration.
The day commences at 11am with the now famous dog show, followed by the official opening by the Mayor of Tunbridge Wells Dr Ronen Basu. Other attractions include a music stage featuring local acts, the CREATE Imaginarium, a craft fair, bouncy castle, donkey rides and much more. There is no entry charge and although there will be stalls selling food, families are welcome to bring a picnic.
The Friends would like to thank their main sponsors Town & Country Housing Group, as well as the Kent and Sussex Courier Heart of the Community Awards and John Lewis Community Matters whose support has made the event possible.
