So magazine is the media partner for Msaada, a small UK charity run by volunteers – it has just one staff member. Founded by BBC journalist Fergal Keane it helps the people of Rwanda restore their dignity and livelihoods destroyed by the 1994 genocide.
Part of that involves sending dairy cows to families to help them through the sale of milk. European cows provide 10 times more milk than local cows. Calves are handed to neighbours so they can become independent.
Now here’s how you can help us. On March 9 one of the biggest social events of the season takes place at Hever Castle when paintings undertaken by local members of the public will be auctioned at a Paint Ball. The night has attracted a raft of High Net Worth individuals.
You can see the paintings at the Fairfax Gallery in The Pantiles where they will be on show, and for sale, from January 18 to January 27. Those judged to be among the top ten best will be auctioned at the Paint Ball.
We also need high end prizes for the silent auction and the raffle!!! Supporters will be acknowledged in the programme for the night.
We also need sponsors at all levels and if you would like to come along on the night tickets are just £85 per head.
The driving force behind this is Graeme Moore of Montrose restaurant in Southborough who is a Trustee of the Charity.
