Outdoor Ice Rink in Royal Tunbridge Wells returns Christmas 2012, due to popular demand
Friday 23 November 2012 – Monday 7 January 2013
The outdoor ice skating rink in the picturesque Calverley Grounds is returning – and this year it will be even bigger! Also new this year families and children can have a magical visit to Father Christmas in his traditional Christmas log cabin overlooking the ice rink.
From Friday 23 November – Monday 7 January 2013 skaters can visit this fantastic town centre location and enjoy a skate with family and friends; spectators can indulge themselves with a hot chocolate or a warming glass of mulled wine and watch the festive fun unfold on the ice.
The ice rink will be open throughout the day and evening – advanced booking is recommended at peak times – Thursday and Friday evenings and all day Saturday and Sunday. The cost for one hour’s skating, including hire of skating boots, will cost from £7.50 for children and from £9.50 for adults. Tickets to Father Christmas will be £9.50 per child (one free adult per paying child) – this includes one photograph and a gift for the child.
It’s never too early to book your session, especially as last year the sessions around Christmas and the New Year sold out fast. Tickets for both the ice rink and Father Christmas can be booked on the dedicated website from Monday 10 September 2012 (www.tunbridgewellsatchristmas.com) or from the Assembly Hall Theatre Box Office in person or by calling 01892 554645.
