The annual Hospice in the Weald 10K is this Sunday – 15 Sep 2013 – at Tunbridge Wells Lower Cricket Ground, TN1 1JT.
Whether you have just started jogging or a regular runner, this event is for you! Set yourself the target of running the Hospice in the Weald 10K with your friends and raise vital funds for the Hospice. Returning for its eighth year, this popular event offers a challenging run on the roads of Tunbridge Wells. The route will suit experienced runners and those new to running or looking to enter their first 10K. Chip timing will be in operation for accurate times and quick results.
There is plenty to keep the family entertained whilst you run, including a Family 1K Fun Run, and when the 10k runners are back there is a Panto horse race, where pairs of competitors don pantomime horse outfits and run 100m-sprints on the dedicated course. A barbecue and refreshments will be on sale to runners and spectators throughout the day, adding to the fun atmosphere.
The 10k run starts at 10am.
Online registration has now closed; however runners can register on the day for £20: just head to the ‘registration’ area to sign up. Please ensure you arrive in plenty of time as you will not be able to run without registering or after 10am. You can also register for the 1K and the Panto Horse Race on the day. See the team at the ‘registration’ area to sign up.
