Enjoy a celebration of country living in the heart of the garden of England. Surrounded by acres of glorious countryside, Hever Castle is the perfect setting for Country Life at the Castle which runs from September 14th – 16th.
A variety of talented craftspeople will set up stall on Half Moon Pond demonstrating country crafts. These range from wood carving and wood turning to guitar making, trug making and basket weaving. Sample food and drink from local producers, plus advice on keeping hens and bees from the experts. Other exhibitors include art and photography groups, a portrait painter and face painting for children.
The event incorporates the popular annual Patchwork and Quilting Exhibition. Members of The Quilters’ Guild from across Kent, Surrey and Sussex showcase their talent with an impressive display of patchwork quilts and wall hangings. Throughout the weekend, members will present a full programme of demonstrations on patchwork and quilting techniques.
With plenty to keep all the family entertained throughout the day, Country Life at the Castle is a great introduction to living “The Good Life”.
