Celebrating music and life at The Bell in Ticehurst

Just before the schools go back and normal life resumes, The Bell in Ticehurst is hosting a beer and music festival on Saturday 30 August, featuring great local bands, brilliant chilled out acoustic sets and lots to keep the kids happy.

The acoustic vibe will be headlined by Jon Allen, whose third album Deep River has just been released and whose single Night and Day is getting a lot of airtime right now on national radio. (“His voice is such a treat and sensation”– Jools Holland.)

The acoustic sets will continue throughout the afternoon with singer and guitarist Matt Brooks, and Red, Green and Blue, an acoustic duo playing covers and originals.

Two great local bands will play in the Assembly Room in the evening. The ever-popular Shot to Bits (‘probably the craziest cover band in the world’) and Eden, the band The Bell likes to think of their own home-grown talent. When not giving it some on the drums, Sam can be found behind the bar at The Bell and the rest of the band spend a lot of time in front of it!

Children will be kept happy and entertained by a magician, art workshops and face painting. The fun kicks of at midday and continues until midnight. For more information, call 01580 200234.
