Christopher Wood was one of England’s greatest painters. He attended art school in Paris with fellow Englishman Cedric Morris and when they returned to London, their work was at the forefront of the avant-garde. Both artists travelled to Cornwall and Brittany, creating stunning, evocative landscapes alongside portraits of their mutual friends.
Now you can appreciate their work at the Cedric Morris and Christopher Wood: A Forgotten Friendship exhibition, displayed at Mascalls Gallery in Paddock Wood. Open Tuesday to Saturday, until Saturday April 13, with free admission. www.mascallsgallery.org
