DALE HILL HOTEL AND GOLF CLUB
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT GOLF
Located deep in the historic 1066 English countryside, with breath-taking views across the High Weald ridges and valleys, you will be surprised and delighted to discover Dale Hill Hotel and Golf Club.
At Dale Hill, we are very proud of our two magnificent 18-hole golf courses: the Ian Woosnam designed course and the Dale Hill course, both uniquely positioned in over 350 acres of undulating hills and historic woodland with stunning panoramic views. Each course has been designed to offer something for everyone; as Ian Woosnam OBE says, the Woosnam course is ‘challenging enough to test the pros, yet accessible enough to be enjoyed by amateurs’.
Membership at Dale Hill brings a host of benefits to people who wish to enjoy our two magnificent 18-hole golf courses. Joining our members at Dale Hill gives you access to protected tee times and advanced booking privileges, in addition to discounts on our wide range of food and beverages. When you join us, you’ll gain the use of our Intelligent Golf online management system, making it easy for you to plan and organise your games.
Dale Hill also has superb facilities for its many members and visitors, such as a driving range, two putting greens, a practice bunker and a fleet of 40 electric buggies for hire.

Established in 1994 by the Ashby family, this charming nine-hole golf course is still largely unknown to a lot of golfers, due to its hidden location in the quaint village of Blackham on the East Sussex/Kent border.
With years of work behind it by the owners, it now holds its head high among several other courses, and has managed to stay open throughout the bad weather of last and this year, with all tees and greens remaining in full play.
The club can cater for groups and societies by appointment, plus we have a fully licenced bar and can also offer club hire, rental trolleys and electric buggies. Coaching is also available, along with driving nets and putting green, and work has begun on a new practice chipping green and bunker, hopefully to be in play later this year.
We run friendly competitions throughout the year, one of which is our popular ‘nine and dine’, nine-hole Texas scramble, followed by an informal sit-down meal, usually out on the clubhouse decking, weather permitting. We are set in a picturesque valley with lovely views out over the course; quite often the local buzzards can be seen flying over, or occasionally out on the fairways.
All in all, this delightful and well-kept course is well worth a visit. A warm welcome is always waiting in the clubhouse for visitors, and tee times can always be arranged at relatively short notice. We look forward to meeting you.
