Tonbridge-based charity The Bridge Trust is pleased to announce that they have been selected by Tonbridge Rotary and Tonbridge Lions as the main official charity for this year’s Tonbridge Half Marathon. The charity is therefore now gearing up for the event which takes place on Sunday 28 September, and is now seeking runners to raise sponsorship for its work with single homeless adults in West Kent.
The Bridge Trust can offer a FREE place in exchange for raising minimum sponsorship of £50 (hopefully more!) but you need to contact them without delay as places are limited.
It’s the 4th year of this very successful event with its course being a scenic and undulating traffic-free route along country lanes around Tonbridge and Leigh. The race is always well supported by spectators lining the route and creating a great atmosphere! The race headquarters will be at K College with separate male/female changing facilities, secure bag and valuables storage, sports massage facilities and a warm-up area. There will be ample parking at the College, Judd School and Hayesbrook School and further car parking is available in the town centre, 5 minutes walk away.
If you would like to run for the homeless and support this worthy cause please contact Caroline Dunmall on 01732 368363 or email her at email@example.com. The Bridge Trust provides quality accommodation and support services for single homeless adults in West Kent. To help provide essential funds for this vital work in the community it runs a charity shop in Camden Road, Tunbridge Wells plus an enormous Furniture Warehouse at Unit 1A, 9 Cannon Lane, Tonbridge (opposite B & Q) containing a huge range of quality used furniture and large electrical items.
