A nationwide search has begun, after a Kentish man wrote to the National Trust members’ magazine with an unusual request.
Alan Wright visited Sissinghurst Castle Garden in September 2015, where a photograph was taken of him and his wife by a fellow visitor. However, three months later his wife passed away. Now, Mr Wright is appealing for help in tracking down the photographer and obtaining the image.
He wrote: “I have realised this would have been the last photo ever taken of her. I would dearly love to obtain a copy.”
The National Trust’s tweet with Alan’s touching letter has already been shared over 3,000 times in the hopes that someone will be able to reunite him with the image.
