This summer sees something special happening at Tonbridge Castle, as Rye International Jazz & Blues Festival bring singing sensation Russell Watson to the iconic venue. The star will be performing a very special outdoor summer picnic concert at the stunning and historic setting of the castle on Sunday July 9.
Watson, known as the ‘People’s Tenor’ is credited with being the ‘UK’s Best Selling Classical Artist’ and will be performing his favourite music and songs from his latest album True Stories when he takes to the stage.
Russell performs hot on the heels of a highly successful sold out UK concert tour, and the programme at the castle will include an eclectic mixed of repertoire featuring songs such as If I Loved You from his new album, classics such as Nessun Dorma and songs that have made his voice instantly recognisable across the world.
Acclaimed Jazz singer Liane Carroll has been confirmed to perform in the supporting line up, of what promises to be a spectacular afternoon of entertainment.
