‘Problem’ buildings in Cranbrook to be restored

Cranbrook is looking to rejuvenate the local landscape with two ‘problem’ buildings being restored to their former glory.
The first is the iconic Providence Chapel in Stone Street which has been left derelict for 15 years. Tunbridge Wells Borough Council and English Heritage are now collaborating on a regeneration project to transform it into a user-friendly building for residents, while also retaining its original roots and heritage. The second is a former office block turned empty building site, considered large enough for nine houses.
Designs are due for submission to planners later this year following discussions with the council.
