Big-brand supermarket to take place of the old cinema

Developers of the old cinema site in Tunbridge Wells are hoping a big-brand supermarket will be among the main attractions once the existing building has been demolished. They believe that once the unnamed supermarket signs up other tenants will follow.
The notorious grotspot has been derelict for 12 years although the new owners, equity firm Carlyle Group and developer Bellhouse Joseph, have pleaded for “patience” from the public. They said they have not been sitting on their “backsides.”
