Historic Award for Knole House in Sevenoaks

Historic Award for Knole House in Sevenoaks

Knole House in Sevenoaks has won the Sanford Award, which celebrates exceptional local history, heritage and education.
The National Trust house provides an interactive learning experience for children on the Tudors and also won the award (which is given out every five years) in 2002 and 2007, making this its third win in a row. Visited by 3,000 children every year, the manor is ‘steeped in history’ according to Sanford judge Irene Davies, who also says children are ‘actively engaged in their learning from the moment they arrive’.
