SEASONAL SPOTLIGHT
Back to school? Returning to work? Trinity lines up plenty for children and adults alike to continue the entertainment as we head into autumn…

We’re extremely excited to have several stage adaptations of beautiful and beloved children’s books this autumn, including Julia Donaldson’s Stick Man (September 18 and 19) and Michael Morpurgo’s Why the Whales Came (October 1 and 2). Stick Man is an award-winning production from the teams behind Tiddler and other Terrific Tales and The Scarecrows’ Wedding, features a trio of top actors and is packed full of puppetry, songs, live music and funky moves. Why the Whales Came stars multi-award-winning performer and storyteller Danyah Miller and has already been seen by over 11,000 people. It is full of fun, mystery and adventure and is suitable for everyone aged seven and over.

The fun for children doesn’t stop there though. With Claire Freedman’s Monstersaurus! (October 29) and Stitch Head’s author Guy Bass (October 26), we’ve got engaging and energetic shows for kids peppered throughout autumn.
For adults, comedy comes thick and fast this season too. We bring plenty of stand-up from national comedians such as Jason Manford (September 16), Andy Parsons (November 2) and Gary Delaney  (November 11). Manford showcases new material ahead of his 2018 UK tour, with Parsons and Delaney touring to support numerous television appearances, along with their work on the new series of Mock the Week this summer.

Fancy some family fun? The Tunbridge Wells Puppetry Festival returns this year with an ambitious and exciting programme of events, which showcase the breadth of the incredible medium of puppetry, next month. We host artefacts from the incredible production of The Lion King, along with several other charming shows. Be sure to pop along and learn about these puppets! Finally, all roads lead to Oz this year. After much work by  our artistic director  John Martin,  we’re bringing  you The Wizard  of Oz  (December 14  to January 3)  this Christmas,  complete with  spectacular sets, flying  monkeys  and all the songs  from the Oscar- winning musical!
