Charlotte Tilbury comes to Fenwick Tunbridge Wells

You can’t miss the new Charlotte Tilbury concession in Fenwick – the dazzling lights and sleek surfaces right by the ground floor entrance immediately entice you in. And, there are already plenty of makeup fans perusing the range when I arrive.

I’m greeted by manager Jessica, who is a trained makeup artist and is enjoying her first day on the job. She tells me that they already have around 15 makeovers booked in for their first day, so it’s shaping up to be a busy one for them!

I ask her to tell me about the Charlotte Tilbury hero products, and she introduces me to a few of her favourites and bestsellers: the Magic Cream (£70) – a hydrating moisturiser to give you a gorgeous glow, the Film Star Bronze and Glow (£49) a sun-kissed bronzing palette and the Wonder Glow (£38.50) a complexion-enhancing skincare primer.

As well as selling a huge range of individual products, Charlotte Tilbury also specialises in 10 ‘looks’ – these are created using specific products, and Jessica tells me that some, like the Ingénue or the Golden Goddess are particularly good for bridal makeup. A lot of the makeup lessons customers book in for are for wedding ideas, but they also come for tutorials in the other looks – a lesson is £35 but purchasing all of the products for each of the looks can cost from £145, so Jessica advises a lesson is always a good idea so you can find the look you like.

Charlotte Tilbury began her career as a makeup artist to the stars, and this is reflected in the new Hot Lips range she’s created – each colour is inspired by a different celebrity, including the likes of Kim Kardashian, Victoria Beckham and Kate Moss.

So that I can see the new Hot Lips range in action, Jessica offers to try some out on me, using the vibrant Hot Emily (£23) which is a coral/red shade and inspired by model Emily Ratajkowski. First, she applies the Lip Cheat lip liner in Kiss and Tell (£16) to give my lips volume and shape, then coats them in the lipstick. I love the colour, and can confirm that it really lasts – I’ve now had it on for a few hours and it’s withstood several cups of tea!

If you’re in Tunbridge Wells, make sure to head to Fenwick and check out the fabulous Charlotte Tilbury stand. Even better, until September 10th they’re offering redeemable makeup lessons for just £15, so if you’ve not tried their amazing products before, now there’s no excuse not to!
