The Warren restaurant has now been open for four months and is going from strength to strength. This success could not have happened without all of the dedicated staff and the suppliers who have been providing the restaurant with the very best local produce.
The fish and seafood that is served is from the expert merchant Chris Fenech of MCB seafood based in Newhaven. They have their own fleet of fishing boats along the southern coast and are the only supplier in the UK that holds Friends of the Sea status. MCB seafood sources the best quality sustainable fish around and pride themselves in traceability.
For their delectable cheeseboard, The Warren rely on High Weald Dairy for their high-quality local dairy products.
Secret Cellar, the independent wine merchants, are to be thanked for the wine. Mike Watson and his team have been aiding in the creation of the unique wine list. They have picked up many awards over the years, including Small Independent Merchant of the Year with both the Decanter World Wine Awards and the International Wine Challenge.
The Warren are also very happy to work closely with Jon Dyer – their Matthew Clark representative.
His knowledge and enthusiasm has given The Warren the opportunity to have a boutique spirit and beer menu.
Joe Lloyd’s Perk and Pearl, with their extraordinary selection of teas, has taken our options to the highest level.
Finally, of course, a mention has to go to the Warren Estate Manager, Terry Higgs, and all his farm staff who care for the animals and ensure they are shown the respect they deserve in life. The Warren are proud that their products come directly from nature to the table, which is what great food is supposed to be about.
