When you’ve missed out on a firsthand taste of Thailand, can you ever find the real thing over here? Joe Murphy thinks so and he decided to prove it by selflessly booking a table at The SuCheera in Tunbridge Wells.
…Being on the ravenous side of hungry we order quite a bit, I do, however, manage to resist the soft shell crab and the aromatic duck, favouring instead the mixed starter platter for two (£11.95). Yes this may  lack imagination but why turn down the opportunity to sample a combination of vegetable spring rolls, chicken satay, Thai spicy fish cakes, Thai dim sum and sesame prawn toast all served with a dizzying array of hot, sweet and sour dipping sauces? Celebratory and well over the top perhaps, but I’m in no mood to miss out. The freshness of the fish cakes and the nutty sweetness of the satay alone could have sufficed, yet the thick wedges of prawn toast glistens their way to win top prize in this platter…
