The first Award of the night was won by Emma Welch, The Huntsman Eridge, Kent, for being the Best Newcomer to Hall and Woodhouse. Emma and her team have been there seven months and have reinvented the Huntsman with a Bang! This tiny village pub is now jam packed with local customers. The team provide fantastic food as well as holding regular events. The Huntsman will receive £250, as well as a trip away in the early part of next year.
“We are delighted to have won this prestigious award. I absolutely love the Huntsman and my team and I have worked hard to make it part of the community again. The Gala Dinner was a great event and we are looking forward to continually improving our pub.” Emma Welch explains.
Independent Family Brewer, Hall and Woodhouse, announced the winners of their 2011 Business Partnerships Awards at a Black Tie Gala Dinner on Monday 3rd October which was held at the Crown Hotel in Blandford, Dorset. The dinner and awards were themed to Las Vegas, and the night saw showgirls, casino tables and Elvis himself adding to the fun. £2245 was raised for Naomi House and everyone there had a great evening. The annual awards were open to the family brewers’ tenanted estate of pubs. There were eight categories and with over a third of the estate sending in entrees, the competition was as fierce as ever.
Matt Kearsey, Business Partnerships Director at Hall and Woodhouse comments: “We are delighted to have had so many entrees to the 2011 awards, it is vital we recognise the hard work that our Business Partners are putting into their businesses and these awards enable us to do just that. I’d like to congratulate all of the 2011 winners, and we are very proud of them all.”
