The Secret Pantry
This charming establishment in Tenterden serves a range of different afternoon treats, from cream tea to high teas. The afternoon tea includes an assortment of finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones and delicious homemade cakes served alongside the finest premium teas and herbal infusions. The result? An exquisite journey for the senses from the beautiful presentation to the aromas rising from the cake stand. The Secret Pantry serves teas from 2:15pm onwards.

Tunbridge Wells’ newest hotel is the place to be seen and its afternoon tea selection reflects its chic clientele by offering both a Prosecco (£22) and Champagne (£28) afternoon tea menu which boasts a variety of mouth-watering savoury bites and an array of sweet treats created by the hotel’s talented pastry chefs. Prices start from £16 per person. Served daily 2.30-5pm.
Alice’s Tea Shop
Alice’s tea shop in Sevenoaks has thought of it all! From using locally sourced ingredients to making gluten free products, they ensure no one is left out of the experience. This afternoon tea consists of a selection of small sandwiches, freshly made scones and carefully prepared cupcakes with a pot of tea for two. You will fall down the rabbit hole in delight.
This cool little café on the Tunbridge Wells High Street focuses on providing its customers with an impressive selection of fantastic homemade cakes and specialist teas so it will come as no surprise to learn it’s a hot spot for afternoon tea. Sandwiches are served on artisanal bread and scones brim with French butter, Devonshire clotted cream and Bonne Maman jam. You can swap your tea for coffee if you like or upgrade your feast with a glass of raspberry Bellini for £5.50 more. Prices start from £15.50 per person. Served from 2.30pm. Booking in advance is required.
Guests can choose from a trio of afternoon teas at Rosemary Shrager’s delightful café in Tunbridge Wells. If you want something simple go for her Cream Tea which is priced at £6.50 and comprises of freshly baked scones and a tea or coffee. Or you could choose the Royal Afternoon Tea which includes three finger sandwiches, scones, mini cakes and tea or coffee for £15. If you’re feeling luxurious then splash out £5 more to enjoy a glass of champagne.
