Selecting a school for your child is one of the most important decisions you’ll take; your choice will shape the course of their lives. To make that process a bit easier for you, we’ve spoken to the people that really matter – the students and their parents – to find out what they think about life in the classroom.
When it comes to choosing a school for your children, there can be a huge amount of information to sift through before you make that final decision. With so much at stake – both the financial outlay and the investment in your child’s future – you want to be sure you’ve made the right choice. From exam results and subjects on offer, to the school’s facilities and fees, finding the perfect combination can be a daunting business. And once you’ve done the maths and looked around the campus, often it is the school’s ethos or atmosphere that will finally win you over.
We’ve talked to students – or, in some cases, the parents who made the same decision you are facing – to find out what life is really like at some of the area’s leading educational establishments.
We asked each student what they like about their particular school, what after-school activities are on offer and what eventually they’d like to be. Here, in alphabetical order, a selection of young people from top local schools tells us why your child should join them in the classroom.
