Nominations going well for the Uckfield Business Awards

Organisers of the first Uckfield Business Awards are delighted by the high number of entries and nominations which have already arrived for companies based in the town. There are a variety of categories where members of the public can nominate – including ‘Customer Service’ and ‘Retailer Of The Year’ – and, in this short time, more than 80 nominations have been recorded. In terms of entries, these have already gone into double figures, ahead of the closing date in September.

Run in association with the Uckfield Chamber of Commerce and organised by The Marketing Eye and Chamber committee member, Adrian Corbin from Scientifica, the Uckfield Business Awards are a celebration of the achievements and diversity of the Uckfield business community.

Since the launch event, another award category has been unveiled – Outstanding Achievement Award – which is being sponsored by Abtec Communications and Parker Building Supplies.

“This honour will be awarded to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding achievements in their business life,” says Adrian Corbin from Scientifica. “He or she will have achieved business success and made an active contribution to the Uckfield community in the process. Inspiring, dedicated, passionate and possibly slightly humble, we want to recognise the person who has helped define what Uckfield is today.”

In total, there are 15 different award categories, made possible by the support of 30 local companies, including the Uckfield Business Awards’ main sponsor, Parker Building Supplies.

“Awards are a great way of generating PR, boosting morale and benchmarking your progress,” says Neil Edwards from The Marketing Eye. “I’d urge every Uckfield business to get involved.”
